The procedure presently followed by Special Valuation Branches (SVBs) is laid down in Board's Instructions contained in F.No.467/32/2000 - Cus. V relating 23rd February 2001. In the said instructions, the Directorate General of Valuation was required to maintain a central registry of SVB decisions. Accordingly, all records received from SVBs have been collated and a central registry has been created in MS Excel format. This central registry is available on the website of this directorate (www.dov.gov.in). All SVB supervisors have been allotted user name and passwords that would enable them to register a new case or modify the details of an existing SVB case.
