            Sub: Launch of Export Commodities Database containing analysed data – reg.

Sir,

 

Kindly refer to letter F.No. F.No. Val./Tech/76/2004  dated 2/6/2005 from Director General(Valuation) regarding the proposed launch of Export Commodity Database (Phase II) containing the analysed export valuation data.

 

2.     ECDB (Phase II) has been launched on 1st August 2005. Analysed data for previous three months (1st May to 24 July 2005) has been dispatched via ICENET. The data is also being dispatched in CD. The Oracle format is put up in the CD labelled ‘EIO’ and the Access format is put up in the CD named ‘EIA’. These CD could also be used to upload the data on the INTRANET server or stand alone PC.

 

3.      You are requested to make arrangements to upload the data on  your INTRANET server or PC and make it available to the assessing officers for use in their export  assessment work.

 

4.       Arrangements are also being made to update the database on a weekly basis. The updates from 24th July onwards will be dispatched shortly. 

 

5.       The entire database (ECDB) is also being placed on the Directorate website (www.dov.gov.in) for access on a password protected basis.  

 

6.        Kindly acknowledge receipt. Your comments and suggestions for improving the format and presentation of ECDB may be sent to the Directorate.
